Specialty coffee EL ROSARIO SARCHIMOR

Although coffee trees do not grow in Lithuania, it is definitely possible to taste coffee, the cultivation history of which is strongly connected with Lithuania. How? Our specialty coffee El Rosario Sarchimor is grown in Salvador, on the El Rosario farm, which is managed by the descendants of the noble family of Lithuanian nobles - Pacų.

This coffee has been dried in direct sunlight, so it has a sweetness and a strong body. On the palate you can feel notes of black currant, tangerine peel and plum. One customer assured in her feedback: "And in fact, you can feel the aftertaste of black currants."

You can taste and look for the flavor notes yourself - this month (April 2023) these types of coffee beans are discounted.

The history of coffee

In the second half of the 17th century, many Lithuanian families, including some of the Pacas, emigrated to other countries. A noble family of Lithuanian nobles found a home in distant El Salvador and became famous in the world as an exceptional dynasty of coffee growers.

in 1917 In Salvador, Dona Petrona Palacios de Diaz purchased land in the highlands of the Santa Ana volcano. The new owner turned the fertile area into a coffee plantation, which earned an excellent reputation in the country. Since then, Santa Petrona has already had six generations of governors.

in 1990 a new plantation - El Rosario - was purchased. Today, under the skillful stewardship of Federico Pacas Lopez, high-class specialty coffee Pacas, Pacamara, Sarchimor, Bourbon is grown here in accordance with the essential values. The principles of sustainable business allow us to achieve exceptional quality by fostering harmonious relations with employees and preserving nature. Coffee berries are picked only when properly ripe, carefully selected by hand.

"Today, coffee occupies our lives 365 days a year. For us, it's more of a passion than a job. Producing good quality coffee is always a challenge: you have to deal with climate change, crime, labor shortages. However, when the cup of coffee finally arrives in your hands and you see other people enjoying the fragrant drink, there is a wonderful feeling of satisfaction. And he inspires.”

Federico Pacas Lopez

This story is a hundred years of searching, hard work, respect and dedication to coffee. She tells us that it takes ages to create something of value, even though it only takes a moment to enjoy.
