Artist Alisa Palavenis together with VERO CAFE invites you to turn trash into art!

Have you ever wondered how many disposable containers end up in the trash after just 15 minutes of use? 🤔 More than 50 billion disposable coffee cups alone are thrown away every year...

In order to draw public attention to this problem, in 2023 February-March artist and activist Alisa, together with VERO CAFE, invites all coffee connoisseurs to contribute to the new eco-art promotion "Turn garbage into art!".

Alisa Palavenis - doctor of chemical sciences, artist and eco-activist. Since 2020, her desire to help nature deal with human artifacts - garbage - has turned into frequent trips to nature. Together with her family, she spends her free time in the fresh air collecting garbage from beaches, rivers and lake shores. In this way, you get a break from mental activity, your thoughts are cleared, and your body gets meaningful active work.

And what is the art here? Because art brings us closer to the truth. Art has the ability in its own ways to make us think about the issue of ecology and participate in creating a better future.

The first idea of ​​how to turn trash into art came to Alice while collecting it. Just before collecting the trash from the seashore, Alice takes a picture of it. A collection of these photographs in 2022. was exhibited in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania in June. The exhibition is still traveling around Lithuanian schools, business centers, libraries and cultural institutions, and the schedule is set for half a year ahead!
