Our friends TrenkTuras invite you to hike in Visaginas - a butterfly-shaped city surrounded by beautiful nature, forests and lakes. 🦋 Looking around the cities - "grandfathers" we probably often forget that the youngest have something to offer. Visaginas is no exception - it is diverse, interesting, and little explored, but once you come, you fall in love with it for a long time.
So on February 25 we invite you to go on a date with the youngest city in Lithuania. The 13, 21 and 31 km routes will introduce you to the lakes and pine forests surrounding Visaginas, without missing the architecture. 🌲
🎯 13 km: city in the forest, forest in the city!
As you walk, watch as the atomic city is replaced by a forest, before giving way again to concrete jutting out of dense pine forests. Such a unique harmony of nature and architecture can only be seen in Visaginas. In the kingdom of raining pine forests, you will also notice the lakes that are quietly gathered here. Note their number! When you return to the city, you can solve the riddle - more Visagine lakes or private houses?
🎯 21 km: the lake parade!
Visaginas, Kukuizė, Baltas, Karačiunka, Aklažeris, Trilypis, Hvatynis, Skaidrys, Žiežulinis, Smalvas... And how many more nameless! The kingdom of lakes and pines is like a sanatorium. In it, the fresh air of the forest will refresh your lungs, the quiet rustling of pine trees will lull you to sleep, and the light waves of the lakes will calm your body and soul. Take your time, stop, admire and just enjoy being here!
🎯 31 km: atomic route!
For those who dare to choose the longest route, Visaginas will not spare anything: neither its concrete "jungle", nor the pine forests carving the sky, nor its impressive lakes. However, the brightest stars of the route will be the four giants of the region: Visaginas, beloved by the locals, Dūkštas, famous for its forested islands, Šventas, a kingdom of rare plants and animals, and Smalvas, surrounded by forests. There will be images for the eyes!
